Fire early this morning heavily damaged the B.C. Pizza business on the Chinook Pier. The fire occurred around 6A.M.
Unfortunately two fire fighters were injured. One fire fighter fell through the floor and sustained burns and injuries. The other fire fighter received elbow injuries. Both were treated and released.
The surf shop next to the pizza business was also damaged.
Thankfully this is not the busy time of the year for these businesses on the Grand Haven Channel.
It was too early to know the cause of the fire.
US31 was a little slippery this morning from West Olive to Spring Lake. It seemed so nice the past couple of weeks not to have to warm up the car and scrape the windshield. All changed this morning however.
Traffic was only traveling around 50 miles an hour, due to slick road conditions. Thankfully everyone was using caution and no problems occurred with during my travel to work.
Temperatures are expected to continue to decline all week, stopping in the teens as the highs this coming weekend.
Hang on to your hats lakeshore people we are going to experience the bitter cold thru the end of the month.
